about

I am happy to present my new album, The Azure Sea. This is my 8th album and my 5th since I started making music again in 2017. These years have been my most productive ever inspite the fact that I haven’t had much time for making music. But the industry has changed greatly in the meantime and in a manner that has proven great for my way of making music.

The Azure Sea is the product of working with no less than 22 different musicians from 14 countries where I have only ever met one of them. In spite of the physical distance, they have all been essential in making my vision come to live.

The Azure Sea is a return to the Indie Folk found on The Greater Good with a heavy focus on folk instruments such as clarinet, oud, mandolin, dobro, accordion, cello and violin (just to name a few).

You will probably notice that some of the songs come in different versions on the album or are partly based on former songs. I wished I had done that do a greater extend throughout the album, but I only got the idea half way through the recordings.

The stories on the album are pretty diverse and there is no real connection between most of the songs. The Azure Sea and Above the Sea / Below the Waves being the notable execptions. They center around the same story. I hope you enjoy diving into the cinematic universe I hope to have created with this album.
